Following recent notices of eviction in Glasgow and London

We still stand in full solidarity with Occupy Glasgow just as we do
with every occupation around the world.   We are disappointed for our
neighbours that the Glasgow City Council has issued them a notice of
eviction from George Square.  However, we do not expect Glasgow
protesters to join our occupation; this is due to the numerous other
alternative sites in their own city. The Herald reported that Glasgow
City Council has offered the protesters alternative sites to
demonstrate.

We are currently waiting to discover what will happen with London’s
Occupation outside St Paul’s Cathedral; though London activists have
been handed letters of eviction today, we do not predict a removal of
the occupation at this time as the process of eviction could take
months:

The Guardian highlighted today that “If the activists do not comply,
which appears almost inevitable, then the corporation [of London’s]
lawyers will most likely start court proceedings on Wednesday under
the Highways Act, seeking an eviction. This process could take several
months, lawyers have warned.”
